Supervision for Dietitians

If you’re a dietitian working with others, supervision is an invaluable support for your practice.

Supervision is a structured, supportive process that gives you a dedicated space to reflect on your work, deepen your skills, and reconnect with your purpose.

Our principal dietitian, Natalie, offers one-on-one supervision, creating a warm, reflective space where you can feel supported in both personal and professional growth. This ensures you can continue to show up fully for the individuals you work with and take care of yourself at the same time.

About Natalie

Natalie has over 15 years of experience across community, clinical, and private settings.

She founded Be Mindful Nutrition in 2019 and leads a small, dedicated team specialising in eating and body concerns using trauma-informed, neuro-affirming, and weight-inclusive approaches.

She offers supervision that is warm, non-judgmental, and reflective, helping you feel heard and supported as you explore your practice.

Natalie is especially passionate about working with dietitians who:

  • Have been practicing for a while but are new to eating disorder care
  • Have experience in eating disorders and want to deepen their trauma-informed, neuro-affirming and weight-inclusive approaches

She also actively attends her own supervision and engages in ongoing professional development

What you might explore in supervision

In sessions with Natalie, you may reflect on:

  • Client cases, especially when you feel “stuck”
  • Integrating a non-diet, Health at Every Size (HAES®) approach
  • Building person-centred care through counselling and motivational skills
  • Managing the emotional and mental load of this work
  • Clarifying ethical and professional boundaries
  • Handling administrative tasks (like Medicare, caseloads, and GP communication)
  • Building a private practice that is ethical, sustainable, and aligned with weight-inclusive care

Benefits of Supervision

Supervision can:

  • Deepen your clinical confidence
  • Offer a safe space to reflect on cases
  • Keep you accountable to professional and ethical standards
  • Support ongoing professional development
  • Help you navigate ethical dilemmas
  • Foster a sense of community and ongoing support
