Disordered Eating and Eating Disorders

We provide specialised care for individuals experiencing disordered eating and eating disorders. You don’t need to have a diagnosis to seek support.

We meet you where you are at and guide you toward the best way to approach recovery. Our focus is on restoring nourishment, reducing food-related distress, and rebuilding trust with your body. We can work collaboratively with your broader care team where needed.

We believe recovery is possible, and you don’t have to navigate it alone.

How challenges can show up

Eating difficulties can take many forms. You might notice:

  • Restrictive eating or difficulty eating enough
  • Binge eating or feeling out of control around food
  • Cycles of dieting, fasting, or strict food rules
  • Anxiety, guilt, or distress around eating
  • Preoccupation with food, weight, or body shape
  • Avoidance of certain foods, textures, or food groups

You don’t need to experience all of these for support to be helpful.

How we support you

Our approach prioritises nourishment, safety, and flexibility, rather than food rules or weight-focused goals.

Support may include:

  • Establishing regular, adequate eating patterns
  • Reducing guilt and anxiety around food
  • Challenging rigid food rules
  • Reconnecting with hunger and body cues
  • Collaborative care alongside your healthcare team
  • Guidance and education for you and your support people

Who this support may help

Support may be helpful if you:

  • Struggle with restrictive or binge eating behaviours
  • Follow rigid food rules or cycles of dieting
  • Experience anxiety, guilt, or distress around food
  • Avoid certain foods or textures
  • Want to rebuild trust with your body and feel calmer around food
  • Have received a diagnosis of an eating disorder including anorexia nervosa (AN), bulimia nervosa (BN), binge eating disorder (BED), Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), or Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorder (OSFED)

*Note you do not need a diagnosis to seek help.

Recovery doesn’t have to happen all at once.
With the right support, small steps can help eating feel safer, more flexible, and less stressful.
