I believe in being open and honest with you about my consult fees and the rebates that you can claim.
To provide a quality service and a client-centred approach, all my sessions are 50 minutes long.

Check with your fund
We ask that you pay the full consultation fee at the end of your appointment. We accept payment by cash or card. If you are eligible for a Medicare rebate, then this will be processed at the time of payment. We will provide you with a receipt for you to claim any Private Health fund rebates.
* Medicare Rebates
If your doctor has referred you on a GP Management Plan you will be able to claim a Medicare rebate. The current rebate (2019) is approximately $52.95 each session, for up to 5 sessions per calendar year. The number of sessions to see a Dietitian will be determined by your referring GP. Examples of conditions that may qualify for a Chronic Disease Management Plan include:
- Diagnosed Eating disorder
- Diabetes (Type 1 and Type 2)
- Cardiovascular Disease
- Musculoskeletal conditions
For confirmation, if you qualify, please discuss with your GP.
Note: Medicare rebates for eating disorder treatment
The government has announced that from November 2019 onwards, eligible people will be able to receive up to 20 rebated sessions per year to see a dietitian. I will update the information here as it becomes available.
Private Health Insurance Rebates
Depending on your private health scheme, you may be eligible for a rebate under Private Health Insurance (not to be used in addition to Medicare). If you are using Private Health Insurance the rebate amount will depend on your particular fund and your level of cover. If unsure, just give your health fund a call to find out if you are covered for dietetics and what percentage of the consult will be covered.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we respectfully request 24 hours notice. Whilst we understand life can be unpredictable, cancellation at late notice means we are unable to offer this appointment to another client who may be on a cancellation or waiting list for an appointment. Failure to provide this minimum notice may incur the full consultation fee being charged.
We understand that you may not be able to keep an appointment due to a sudden illness or an unexpected personal emergency. If this does occur, please let us know as soon as possible.
